Senior Medical Editor/Writer £35-45k
‘Now that’s good medical education!’
Ever found yourself thinking this, or saying it out loud? If so, we warmly invite you to apply for this editorial opening, sharing your medical editing and/or writing skills and experience, and an example or two of recent education that has impressed. And should you make first interview, we’ll send you a Fast Facts of your choice and invite you to critique. Criticism is a gift and helps ensure that our content makes a difference and doesn’t add to the quagmire of box-ticking resources through which busy health professionals must too often trudge.
Health Press a small growing, Abingdon-based company of six people with three established brands: Fast Facts, PatientPictures and EmbarrassingProblems, and there is an opportunity to work on them all, in close and creative collaboration with your colleagues in sales. An appetite for learning, applying your techical knowledge and taking on new responsibilities will be rewarded with a competitive salary, 28 days holiday and the opportunity for speedy career development and an annual bonus.

How about diversifying into Business Development?
(£30-40k plus commission)
Our best sales people have evolved into the job from roles in medical writing, editing, production and IT. Customers from the pharmaceutical industry, medical societies and charities appreciate these additional skills, as do the six of us here in Abingdon working on new content and commercial models for: fastfacts.com, patientpictures.com and embarrassingproblems.com.
As well as inviting applicants that can ‘hit the ground running’, we also welcome those with a background in data analytics, advertising, licensing, teaching or medicine (and experience of the American and Far East markets).
The Publications Developer position we are now recruiting is occasionally messy, intense and quiet, and often stimulating and rewarding, particularly if you get a buzz out of happy customers and an uncapped bonus scheme.
If you are a compelling communicator and disciplined problem-solver and, like our three brands, are bursting with potential, please send your CV and covering letter to Sarah Redston, or call +44 (0)1235 523233 with any initial questions you may have.
